Covid-19 Guidelines for Camel Safari
To keep our staff, customers and animals safe, Camel Safari and staff will be enacting and enforcing:
- Contact all groups the day before scheduled venue rental and ask the following questions:
- Have you or anyone in your group had a fever (100.4F or above), coughing, or shortness of breath within the past 10 days?
- If anyone in the households of the group members has had a fever (100.4F or above), coughing, or shortness of breath within the past 10 days?
- Has anyone in the group been diagnosed with Covid-19?
- Has anyone in the group been in contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case?
- Has anyone in the households of the group members been diagnosed with Covid-19?
- Has anyone in the households of the group members been in contact with a confirmed Covid-19 case?
- Has anyone in the group or their households been out of the country in the past ten days?
- Will group members be willing to bring and wear their own masks?
- Take temperatures of staff and customers upon arrival. If the temperature is at or above 100.4F, the individual will be asked to go home.
- Wipe down all high contact surfaces with bleach or alcohol-based cleaners before and after each group
- Pens
- Clipboards
- Doorknobs
- Padlocks
- Gates
- Enclosure openings
- Designate one bathroom for customers and one bathroom for staff members; both bathrooms will be cleaned as needed throughout the day.
- Require the use of hand sanitizer before signing a waiver (if not done electronically)
- Provide hand sanitizer, antibacterial soap, and handwashing stations
- Reassure guests that our animals cannot carry Covid-19
- Employees will not come to work if showing symptoms, such as fever, coughing, or shortness of breath
- Employees will wear masks when in contact with other employees and guests
- Enforce rules that guests should not touch any enclosure perimeter, fencing, or surfaces that animals have contact with
- Enforce social distancing (customer/employee spacing)
- If possible, only outdoor activities will be provided
- All indoor facilities will have doors opened for increased ventilation
- Place signage around the facility to encourage hand hygiene
